4-Year-Old With Cancer ‘Chad Tough’ Gets Surprise Backyard Beach

(myFOXDC.com) – A very tough little boy from Saline got a surprise.

You may remember 4-year-old Chad Carr, or ‘Chad Tough’, who is fighting a rare brain cancer. He is the grandson of former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr.

Well, like most kids, Chad just wants to spend the summer at the beach and, thanks to the New Jersey charity Wigs and Wishes Friends are by Your Side, that dream came true.

The organization brought a backyard beach to the family’s house in Ann Arbor.

“So, originally, Chad’s wish was to go to Sanibel Island in Florida because it’s loaded with shells, and that’s what he wanted to do. So, we were sending his whole family. But, then when his mom said that he wasn’t well enough, eh sent me a little video saying he wanted a hot tub,” says Martino Cartier, founder and CEO of Wigs and Wishes. “So, I thought, well, if we can’t take him to the beach, we’ll bring the beach to him!”
