Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant Raises Funds for CureSearch on National Brownie Day

Iron Hill Check PresentationOn National Brownie Day, Tuesday, December 8, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant celebrated their long-time partnership with CureSearch for Children’s Cancer by presenting their annual donation with a massive version of their signature dessert, Triple Chocolate Hill. Since September 2004, Iron Hill has donated a portion of the proceeds from each Triple Chocolate Hill sold across their 11 locations to local charity partners and one national charity, CureSearch. This year’s donation to CureSearch totaled $21,179.88!

The founders of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson and restauranteur Kevin Davies, are intimately aware of the impact of childhood cancer as Mark’s wife, Maureen, is a Pediatric Oncologist practicing at Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. Recognizing the importance of children’s cancer research, Edelson and his co-founders were inspired to begin supporting CureSearch for Children’s Cancer.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant“Our goal in supporting a national charity is to use the success of our business to give back in the most meaningful way possible. When looking for a charity, it is important that it has wide impact on all of the communities we serve and that it maximizes the use of the funds towards direct impact. We have found CureSearch to be a great partner to meet these goals.” -Mark Edelson, Co-Founder, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant
