Zoe, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

7 Years Old at Diagnosis

ZoeSeven-year-old Zoe was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in September of 2010 after persistent large dark bruises on her body wouldn’t go away. She completed treatment in December of 2012, and through it all Zoe showed her family that she is a fighter. Her mom Jennifer says that staying positive helped her and Zoe get through treatment.

When Zoe isn’t at the hospital, her favorite thing to do is to draw and hang out with her little sister, Gigi. She also likes to go to dance class and spend time at home or at her grandma and grandpa’s house. She hopes that all kids with cancer will get better one day. She loves her doctors, Dr. Brandt and Dr. Neibrugge at St. John’s Children’s Hospital, because they helped her get better, are funny, and always made her laugh. Although she loves her doctors, Zoe told CureSearch that she does not like the hospital – except for playing on the Wii and board games with others kids!
