This September, CureSearch will join forces with the BMC Racing Team to accelerate the search for a cure by partnering on an Online CureCard Campaign. September is a big month for both organizations. CureSearch recognizes September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM), and the BMC Racing Team will be participating in the UCI Road World Championships.
The BMC Racing Team has won some of the sport’s most competitive races, including the Tour de France. In 2013 they won 30 races, improving the previous record of 21 in 2012. The BMC Racing Team is excited to bring this competitive spirit to an even bigger fight: the fight to cure children’s cancer.
“The BMC Racing Team works hard to become champions, but the children fighting cancer are the true champions,” said BMC Racing Team President/General Manager Jim Ochowicz. “We are honored to be a part of this movement to help CureSearch accelerate the search for a cure for the children diagnosed with cancer every day. We hope our fans support this initiative even more than they do when they cheer us on in bicycle races around the world.”
Starting on September 2, for a donation of $5 per BMC Racing Team CureCard, fans will receive a digital CureCard personalized with their name, which can be printed and displayed to show that they “Became a Champion” for the kids batting cancer. Each donation enters fans into a drawing for a BMC Racing Team item. Money raised will support critical research to make treatment possible and a cure probable for children with cancer. Make sure to check back on September 2 to participate and receive your limited-edition BMC Racing Team CureCard.
