Minnesota United and CureSearch Join on One Team to Kick Childhood Cancer

Major League Soccer team, Minnesota United, went gold in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) by hosting Kick Childhood Cancer Night.

Minnesota United

On Saturday, September 23, Minnesota United partnered with CureSearch to raise awareness about childhood cancer, including integrating supporters and survivors into the game festivities.

In the spirit of awareness, the TCF Bank Stadium was covered in gold – the official color of CCAM – including gold corner flags, nets, player tees and wristbands, jersey patches, scarves and special gold LED graphics.

More so, Minnesota United contributed $5 from each ticket purchased to CureSearch and Be The Match.

The night’s commemoration kicked off with CureSearch supporters and Minnesota Unite fans alike cheering on players, patients, survivors and volunteers from the childhood cancer community as they exited the tunnel onto the field.

At half-time, leaders from the childhood cancer community were presented a check of proceeds – totaling more than $8,500 – from the night’s sold out game tickets.
