The 2017 QBE Shootout was made up of 24 PGA Tour golf pros and 300 volunteers with one goal – to raise critical funds for CureSearch’s mission to accelerate high-potential pediatric cancer research out of the lab and into the hands of children who need it the most.

CureSeach was proud to have Beau Swallow represent the organization at the event. Beau spoke at the annual Pro-Am Awards Dinner that highlights tournament week and talked about his resilience in fighting and eliminating Stage IV Ewing sarcoma that had spread to his chest and lungs in 2009. After several surgeries, 23 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation Beau is fully in remission and a student at American University.

“My family supports CureSearch because we saw firsthand how the funding went directly to Ewing Sarcoma research,” said Beau.
