Bob’s Burgers Writer Channels Hatred to Raise $30,000 for Children’s Cancer

CureSearch GoldAre you interested in supporting research to find cures but don’t know where to start? Well, you can turn practically ANYTHING into a fundraiser with CureSearch Gold! Take Bob’s Burgers writer Wendy Molyneux’s recent fundraiser. Wendy only hates two things — pediatric cancer and the television show, Entourage. She channeled this hatred to raise money to support CureSearch’s investment in finding cures.

Wendy challenged her social media followers to raise $10,000 to support CureSearch’s work to find new, innovative children’s cancer treatments. If they were successful, she would see the Entourage movie during its opening weekend. Word about her unique effort quickly spread, and Entourage supporters, even actors from the Entourage movie, along with friends, family members, and hundreds of children’s cancer advocates quickly raised more than $30,000 in just two weeks! Wendy has now seen the Entourage movie four times.

Wendy has a personal tie to children’s cancer. Her nephew, Oliver, lost his battle with leukemia in 2013. Since then, she has supported CureSearch and our mission to end children’s cancer.

Wendy’s effort is the perfect example of the creativity provided by CureSearch Gold. With the CureSearch Gold program, we provide you with all the tools you need to plan a fun and exciting event. The easiest way to start is to turn something you love to do into a fundraising effort…or, like Wendy, even something you don’t want to do at all!
