Dr. James Bradner, CureSearch Scientific Advisory Council Member, Receives Cancer Research Award

Jay BradnerDr. James E. Bradner, a member of the CureSearch Scientific Advisory Council, is the recipient of the 2016 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Chemistry in Cancer Research. This year’s tenth American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Award was presented for outstanding, novel, and significant chemistry research, which has led to important contributions to the fields of basic cancer research, translational cancer research, cancer diagnosis, the prevention of cancer, or the treatment of patients with cancer. Prior to earning the achievement, Dr. Bradner delivered is award-winning lecture titled “Chemical Biology of BET Bromodomains” at the AACR Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A physician-scientist from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Bradner has co-authored more than 130 scientific publications and 30 United States Patent applications.
