New CureSearch Events Focus on Superheroes to Fight Children’s Cancer

Superheroes UniteMost new year’s resolutions have to do with making a change that actually makes a difference. Some people want to start exercising so they can be healthier and live longer. Others want to start volunteering and donating their time to a cause that positively helps people.

This year at CureSearch, we had a meaningful resolution of our own: we wanted to dedicate more of our focus on the superheroes who have lost their fight with cancer, who are in treatment and who are survivors. We want to make these superheroes feel invincible.

That’s why we’re changing CureSearch Walk to CureSearch Superheroes Unite!

If you’ve ever been part of a CureSearch Walk event, you know the passion of the people who are part of it. You see how families and friends are brought closer together to honor children who have fought and are fighting cancer. You see the beauty of a community fighting to end children’s cancer.

Superheroes Unite! will continue that tradition, but now it will truly showcase a superhero theme in every aspect of programming and activities. The priority of every event will be to make young cancer fighters feel like superheroes – because that’s what they are.

In fact, here are some of the local superheroes. Meet Eric, Grace and Ella.

We hope that you are as excited about this announcement as we are, and that you will consider becoming part of a Superheroes Unite! event. To sign up for an event this year, go to curesearchsuperheroes.org.
