Javier Otero is an Oncology Research Physician in Translational Oncology at Novartis. Prior to joining Novartis in 2018, Javier spent 12 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, first as a postdoctoral fellow in the Cellular Biology Program, then as a clinical fellow and finally as instructor in the Pediatric Department. At Novartis, he currently leads the development of both IO and TT agents. Javier is a graduate of the pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medicine., and the pediatric residency program of the Pedro de Elizalde Children’s Hospital (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Mount Sinani School of Medicine (New York, USA). He received his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
