About CureSearch

CureSearch for Children’s Cancer is a 501(c)3 U.S.-based non-profit foundation that accelerates the search for cures for children’s cancer by driving innovation, overcoming research barriers and solving the field’s most challenging problems. We fight every day to make treatments and cures possible for the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day. We do this by:

  • Catapulting strong medical research through the research pipeline to advance better, less-toxic children’s cancer treatments
  • Breaking down barriers and convening the right players to focus on our shared goal: saving kids NOW
  • Providing resources and education, so no child faces a cancer diagnosis without a fully-equipped support team

Our mission is to end childhood cancer by driving targeted and innovative research with measurable results in an accelerated time frame.

Research Vision

Our research vision is to improve childhood cancer treatment and cures to deliver the potential for childhood cancer patients to lead long, healthy lives.

Help Make a Cure Possible

CureSearch raises funds through philanthropic donations from individuals, special events, corporations, private foundations, sponsorships, and cause marketing. We sponsor CureSearch Walks events and Ultimate Hike events throughout the country to encourage individuals to support our mission. We also provide CureSearch Challenge opportunities for those who are interested in meeting personal fitness goals while helping to end children’s cancer, and CureSearch Gold events for people and organizations interested in holding their own online or in-person fundraising events to benefit CureSearch. Our Education and Resources

CureSearch has built a highly credible, instantly available variety of resources, information, and tools for families to rely on throughout their child’s battle with cancer, including:

  • CureSearch Website: We are proud to be an online resource for patients, their families and support systems. The CureSearch website offers clinically-vetted, plain language regarding diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship for over a dozen childhood cancer diagnoses. Our website provides up-to-date information about the various types of children’s cancer along with research trials, definitions, and descriptions of tests, procedures, treatments and information to help families manage the emotional aspects of caring for a child with cancer.
  • Interactive Resources: We provide a series of interactive, print, and digital resources for patients and families, including our distinctive educational video series that demonstrates common treatments and procedures using child-friendly language. We provide recorded webinars on psychosocial support, including forming support groups and helping children reintegrate into a school environment after receiving cancer diagnoses.
  • CureSearch CancerCare Mobile App: The CureSearch CancerCare Mobile App, launched in 2015, provides free, comprehensive cancer management capabilities that allow users to share information across multiple devices. CancerCare makes it possible for multiple caregivers to trade notes, schedules, symptoms, and resources about their child.
