Financial Accountability
We take the responsibility of every gift seriously.
A Commitment to Our Donors
Every gift to CureSearch is stewarded toward one goal: ending childhood cancer through research. Our donors, our research partners, and the families we serve deserve a clear and honest picture of how we manage the resources entrusted to us. What follows is our financial accountability report for the most recently completed fiscal year, drawn directly from statements audited by an independent accounting firm.

Our impact, by the numbers
What your investment looks like in practice.
CureSearch was founded to change outcomes for children with cancer. Here is what that investment looks like in practice.
- 72.5% of every dollar spent goes to program services, not overhead
- $6.19M invested across research, family support, and operations in FY2025
- 20+ pediatric cancer types studied by CureSearch-funded researchers
- 71% of preclinical projects far enough along to assess have advanced to clinical trials
- 2X+ the typical success rate of new therapies advancing to the clinic
- 1M+ families have used CureSearch resources, tools, and educational materials
How we allocate every dollar
Your gift goes where it matters most.
We work to keep administrative costs low so your gift goes where it matters most.
In the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, CureSearch spent $6,194,577. Nearly three-quarters of that went directly to program services: research grants to leading institutions, the investigators who carry that work forward, and the educational resources that help families navigate a diagnosis.
| Where the money goes | FY2025 | Share | FY2024 share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Program services | $4,489,713 | 72.5% | 74.3% |
| Fundraising | $1,085,274 | 17.5% | 17.1% |
| Management and general | $619,590 | 10.0% | 8.6% |
| Total expenses | $6,194,577 | 100% | 100% |
Why we do not aim for zero overhead
The ten cents of each dollar that funds management and general is not money diverted from children. It pays for the independent audit that produced the statements on this page, the insurance that protects the organization, and the staff who make sure every grant dollar reaches the right investigator and is accounted for correctly. We work hard to keep that number low. We do not try to make it disappear, because an organization that underinvests in its own controls eventually fails the very donors it is trying to serve.
Where our funding comes from
Funded entirely by people who believe in our mission.
Total funding received: $5,361,226
