Gauri Sunkersett, DO

Dr. Gauri Sunkersett is a board-certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with subspecialty training in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and is an Associate Medical Director at AbbVie One Oncology leading development across multiple assets for pediatric indications. In 2022, Dr. Sunkersett was the clinical lead for Imbruvica gaining its first pediatric FDA approval for chronic GVHD. 

Prior to joining AbbVie in 2021, Dr. Sunkersett was the Fellowship Director and Attending Physician in the pediatric bone marrow transplant division at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she led multiple clinical trials in pediatric stem cell transplant. Dr. Sunkersett is a graduate of the pediatric bone marrow transplant fellowship program at the University of California, San Francisco, the pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship program at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and the pediatric residency program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. She received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine.
