John Chung, MD

John is currently an Executive Director Clinical Development Leader for Pediatric Oncology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. He received his MD from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, before completing his pediatric residency training at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, and his pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. After joining the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology staff at Duke University, John took a medical director role at Bayer where he has worked in medical affairs and clinical development and served as medical lead on several oncology compounds from Phase I to Phase III in a variety of indications.

Most recently, he joined the pediatric oncology development group where he currently works to develop and implement strategy for Bayer’s oncology portfolio in pediatrics.
