CureSearch for Children’s Cancer Announces Research Award Opportunities
Up to $7 million in research awards will accelerate the development of better, less-toxic children’s cancer treatments
Bethesda, MD – October 5, 2018 – CureSearch for Children’s Cancer announced a request for applications (RFA) for high potential projects that address areas of unmet need in pediatric cancer, including high-risk, relapsed, or metastatic disease, adolescent and young adult patient populations, and/or the use of novel immunotherapy targets or modalities.
The awards will support revolutionary research and address all stages of the pediatric drug development pipeline, including:
- Young Investigators Award: Provides seed funding for bright researchers, early in their careers, pursuing exciting and novel research in pediatric oncology.
- Acceleration Initiative Award: Funds scientific or technological innovation with the highest likelihood of identifying a breakthrough in childhood cancer treatments and becoming an impactful therapeutic option for children in the near term.
- Catapult Award: Supports the advancement of clinical research to improve outcomes for pediatric cancer patients.
