Alex, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 2012.
Alex and his family have been participating in the CureSearch Walk since 2013. Their team — The A Team — has raised more than $127,000 to date! Alex is now 16 years old, and thanks to research advancements, he is thriving.
“I think the biggest reason we started fundraising was we realized several months into treatment that modern medical advances along with our Faith were saving Alex. When we learned from the doctors that in like the 1970s leukemia would’ve been a death sentence that really hit us hard. We knew that many of the other cancers didn’t have as high of a success rate as ALL and we wanted to give back. Every child deserves a future.”
