Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, explained.
September is CCAM, a time to spotlight the urgent need for more research, better treatments, and stronger support for families facing pediatric cancer.
September was designated as the official awareness month to unify advocates, families, and organizations across the country in one powerful voice for children with cancer.
Gold represents how rare and precious children are. Wearing the ribbon is a sign of solidarity with families fighting pediatric cancer.
Children’s cancers are biologically distinct, often more aggressive, and require specialized research and treatments. Adult therapies don’t always work for kids.
From hosting gold-themed dress days to putting out donation jars or creating team fundraisers, schools and businesses can play a big role in spreading awareness and raising funds.
CureSearch requires milestones, measures progress, and demands accountability from our researchers to deliver patient-centered outcomes. By funding translational research and early-stage clinical trials, your donations bring new treatments to children faster.
