YETI CYCLES

WRITTEN BY SARAH RAWLEY

This is a story for those who have battled cancer. For those who have watched a loved one fight through the pain. For parents who have walked the unbearable line of watching their child lose their vibrancy years too soon. For those who have experienced the joy, the challenge, the safe haven, community, and growth that mountain biking has brought them. This is a story about a simple idea to use the thread of a yellow jersey to bring together the world’s best mountain bikers into one place for something bigger than each of them.

This is Sam’s story. Finish reading.

Thank you Mike Day and Revolution Enduro! Mike's partnership and kindness enabled us to bring Sam's dream of a next-level Ewing sarcoma awareness and fundraising event to life. His generosity blows us away and without his support, the Samduro would not have been possible. " - Kelly and Beth Schneider, Sam's parents

SARAH RAWLEY

When Sam first had a vision to create a mountain bike-themed Ewing sarcoma awareness video, he reached out to his friend, Sarah Rawley, whom he met while working at Yeti Cycles. Sarah jumped in with both feet and ultimately became the driving force to pull off this first-of-its-kind tribute and awareness project. Sarah reached out to her contacts, shared Sam’s story and miraculously gained overwhelming support from pro riders across the globe, who promised to record themselves riding in Sam's yellow jersey. She also pulled off a monumental logistics effort, ensuring Sam’s jerseys shipped around the globe in record time!

Sarah continues to provide the Sam Schneider Legacy team critical guidance and partnership within the mountain biking community as we plan our fundraising and awareness events, including our inaugural SAMDURO Enduro race, scheduled for July 9-10th, 2022, in Keystone, CO. We are blessed, thankful and unbelievably lucky to have Sarah Rawley in our lives! While working a demanding job that requires global travel and long hours, she made Sam's vision a reality. Her love, commitment and passion truly made "Sam's Story" happen. Sarah is an angel, and her support has positively impacted our lives forever.

"Don’t lollygag around with what you want to do. You gotta get it done, cause you never know what’s going to happen. Always be thankful for what you’re doing and that you’re able to do it. Spend your time doing what you love and cherish the time you have with those you love."

Journey Home Lending and the Shuster Family have not only been huge supporters of the Sam Schneider Legacy, they are truly an integral part of Sam's life story. From first meeting Rod and Casey at an early season high school mountain biking practice during Sam's freshman year, to getting to know Mandi as she and Sam dated, to being overwhelmed by the love Leigh showed Sam throughout his treatment - she sent him a thoughtful card nearly EVERY day.

The Shuster family has become more than just friends. Journey Home Lending and the entire Shuster Family are a blessing, and if you are looking for financing support, we HIGHLY recommend them.

RIDING FOR SAM | RAISING AWARENESS FOR EWING SARCOMA

Sam handled this adversity like the champion that he was, and remained positive till the end. It was an honor to ride with his younger brother, Jay Schneider, and his MTB coach, Clancy Ryburn, on one of Sam's favorite trails at Three Sisters in Evergreen, Colorado. Hopefully we have done justice to his legacy. Ride in peace Sam. The impression you left on everyone was immeasurable. #strengthforsam
