Through a partnership with Mattel, CureSearch for Children’s Cancer provides childhood cancer patients with a Brave Barbie Doll. Hair loss is a common side effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments. Since the dolls are bald, they are a great way to help children better understand hair loss that is common among cancer patients.

“We received the Brave Barbie dolls and are so very grateful to have received these beautiful dolls to give to our patients. I must admit, many of us became misty-eyed when we first looked at the dolls because we know of the positive impact they will have on the families we serve. ‘Thank you’ does not seem adequate in expressing our appreciation, respect, and admiration!”

“I have been through so much these last two years and without my daughter I don't know if I could have gotten through my diagnosis and all the hurdles along the way! I immediately started crying as soon as we opened up the box!”
- Nicole Lowe
