Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Every September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. During this month, we honor the young lives taken too soon and the survivors who face chronic health challenges, we celebrate the progress made in treatment and recovery, and we rededicate ourselves to fighting this disease so all children may have the chance to live a full and healthy life.
This month, we pay tribute to the health-care professionals, researchers, and other organizations who work together to provide hope and help to families and find cures for childhood cancers. At CureSearch, we have over 20 Walk events in the month of September alone, which are estimated to raise over $1.75 million for cancer research and support.
Join the Gold Getters!
A Gold Getter – much like the gold ribbon – brings awareness of childhood cancer to the virtual world. If you are passionate about shining the light on this leading cause of death by disease among children by posting facts/figures, sharing stories, and/or engaging your networks, we invite you to become a Gold Getter.
