CureSearch-funded Investigators
Our funded investigators have a shared mission to bring safer, more effective treatments to children with cancer. They are experts in pediatric oncology, conducting next-generation research for children with cancer.
Scientific & Industry Advisory Councils
Collaboration is key to accelerate the pace of pediatric drug development. Our Scientific and Industry Advisory Councils include leaders from academia, pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies and more – all of whom are subject matter experts, thought leaders, and advocates for advancements in pediatric cancer research.
Scientific Advisory Council (SAC)
The SAC is composed of experts from world pediatric cancer research institutions and also includes representation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Industry Advisory Council (IAC)
IAC members include leaders from pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and clinical research organizations..
Childhood Cancer Statistics
More than 15,000 children, adolescents and young adults (age 0-19) are diagnosed with cancer each year. While survival rates for the most common types of childhood cancer have greatly increased in recent years, there has been little improvement in the prognosis for many less common tumor types. For many high-risk subtypes, long-term survival rates are often less than 50%. Others, like the brain tumor DIPG, remain incurable. Here are the latest childhood cancer statistics including diagnoses, survival rates and deaths per year.

Impact Report
CureSearch funds only the strongest research projects that are most likely to become a drug and quickly reach patients. Projects funded through our Acceleration Initiative are seven times more likely to advance into clinical trials.
