Where the Mountains Meet the Mission
The Foothills Trail takes hikers on a breathtaking journey through the Carolina mountains, crossing the border between North and South Carolina.
The Ultimate Hike journey travels from Upper Whitewater Falls to Oconee State Park, offering a challenging and unforgettable experience surrounded by mountain landscapes, forests, waterfalls, and sweeping views.
For the Ultimate Hike community, this isn't simply a beautiful trail. It's the place where determination meets purpose and where every step helps move the search for a cure forward.
What to Expect
Your Ultimate Hike is more than a day on the trail, it’s a full weekend experience built around community, challenge, and making an impact.
- Friday: Arrive & Connect. Check in at the host hotel in Lavonia, GA, meet your fellow hikers, and gather for an inspiring dinner as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
- Saturday: Hike for a Cure. Start early and hit the trail while it's still dark, then watch the sunrise over the Carolina mountains as you make your way along the Foothills Trail. Throughout the day, experience mission moments, connect with your fellow hikers, and remember why you're going the distance.
- Sunday: Celebrate. Come together for an awards breakfast and celebrate everything you've accomplished before heading home.
- You're not doing this alone. From your first training mile to the final finish line, we're with you. When you register, you'll gain access to fundraising tools, resources, and a supportive training community. Our coaches help you prepare for the physical challenge, while CureSearch provides the guidance and resources to help you reach your fundraising goal.
- Train with confidence. You don't have to take on the challenge alone. Ultimate Hike offers a supportive training program designed for all fitness and experience levels, with options to train in person or virtually.
