David was diagnosed with a stage 3 Wilms Tumor when he was 16 months old. He had surgery to remove the tumor and the kidney that it was attached to. Following surgery David endured 6 radiation treatments and had 28 weeks of Chemotherapy. Because of the treatments, he also needed physical therapy.
David is a fighter. The Cancer Journey wasn’t easy but he didn’t let it bring him down. He handled his battle pretty well for a 1 1/2 year old.
Today at 8 years old he is a Cancer Survivor! Happy we can say he is 6 years cancer free. This has been the year of many questions for him, all about “his” Cancer and will it return or will he get another type.
